Ty Cobb is a legendary baseball player who became one of the most hated celebrities for his rough play and unrelenting character. Decades after his minutes of fame, Cobb hires a ghostwriter to write an autobiography. However, when the author arrives at Cobb's mansion, he finds a highly paranoid, partially disabled man. This complicates his task, as Cobb's condition continues to deteriorate as his biography progresses.

Nice film in which a sports journalist is going to write a book about the best baseball player ever. Based on a true story that later turned out to be a little less truthful. Not your average biopic. Not only because of the completely unsympathetic main character, but mainly because the film takes place during the last year of the baseball player's life and therefore does not really focus on his successes. A bit on the long side.

Tommy lee Jones plays the role of an asshole like it was made for him like a glove , the psychological aspect of the man's character is the most fascinating aspect , it is difficult to determine of course whether this is truthful
