Detroit, Ville Sauvage plot

The auto industry fueled the rise of Detroit and turned it into the most industrialized city in the United States. But drastic changes in American demographics and culture partially turned the once prosperous city into ruins. Today, the urban prairies are populated by an array of wildlife such as falcons, deer and coyotes, which have replaced the hard-working middle class. Now young people and urban farmers are moving like new pioneers back to the devastated neighborhoods of old Detroit to rebuild their lives. The film features interviews with a number of Detroit residents including a handyman, an urban farmer, a photographer, a bar owner and permanent resident.
