Verdacht en Voorlopig Vast plot

The documentary "Suspicious and provisionally detained" follows the work of the examining magistrate, who investigates criminal cases within a closed, extra-secure section of the court. They are the first judges to see a suspect after his or her arrest. Never before was filming allowed in this department, the Cabinet RC. Documentary maker Jan Katsma followed a number of these special judges for more than a year in the department where he himself was once a clerk. The result is a unique look into an unknown but crucial part of the justice system.
