Kaidan Kasane-ga-Fuchi plot
A blind masseur visits a samurai about getting a loan back. The samurai is furious, kills him and has his servant dump the corpse in the swamp of Kasane. However, the masseur's ghost returns to haunt the samurai and as a result, the samurai accidentally kills his wife. Out of desperation and grief, the samurai drowns himself in the swamp. Twenty years later, the masseur's daughter falls in love with the samurai's son, without their knowledge of its history...
