Documentary about the most prominent actor of the Golden Age of Japanese cinema. Toshiro Mifune (1920-1997) starred in nearly 170 films, including sixteen by grandmaster Akira Kurosawa. From Mifune's multifaceted career, this documentary focuses on his swordsmanship renditions in Kurosawa classics such as 'Seven Samurai' and 'Throne of Blood', as well as in Hiroshi Inagaki's 'Samurai Trilogy' (1954-1956). Archive footage accompanies interviews with Mifune's directors and choreographer, as well as Keanu Reeves, Scorsese and Spielberg.
