Bored students Ding Bo, Fan Neng and 'Fatso' Fei Zao all lose their homes for various reasons and end up with the lonely Chinese opera singer Chang Yue through an advertisement. She mourns the death of her son and has plenty of room in her large apartment. However, the four clash with each other enormously in terms of lifestyle and do everything to make life difficult for each other.
