"A Seminal Journey of Self-Discovery."

The hedonistic cabaret scene in 1930s Berlin is in full swing when young British writer Christopher Isherwood arrives in town. He opens his eyes but does not speak a word of German. The lively gay underworld is lavish and addictive, in stark contrast to Isherwood's English reserve. Soon, after a hopeless love affair, he suffers from a broken heart and decides to discover himself.
