A high school is threatened with closure if it cannot cough up $200,000. The class representative Melissa does her best to raise the money, but she lacks real support from the students. When car-crazy Dylan makes her an offer to bet on him in car races against the underworld figure Phatman, she can't refuse. At first everything goes well. Too good, as it turns out.
