Lost Angel plot
Professors at the Institute of Child Psychology raise an abandoned baby, name her Alpha, and use her as an experiment to raise her "scientifically" to see if the girl can become a genius. When Alpha is six years old, she can speak Chinese, play chess like the best and play the harp, among other things. Mike Regan, a reporter for a newspaper, manages to arrange an interview with the girl and finds out she's missing out on fun. Mike convinces her that magic really does exist, so Alpha for the first time in her life (secretly) leaves the institute to visit him...
