Jumping the Broom plot
"Sometimes the only way to get past family drama... is to jump right over it."
A girl unlucky in love accidentally meets the man of her dreams. Before long, the couple is engaged and planning their wedding at the bride's family estate: Martha's Vineyard. However, the two families don't get along as well as the loving couple had hoped. The traditional, passive-aggressive mother of the groom is outraged that she is only now introduced to the bride-to-be, and friction immediately ensues between the two mothers. The barriers between the two families do not bode well for the bride and groom as the big day quickly approaches.
