Ode plot

Ode is a super-8 adaptation of Herman Raucher's book Ode to Billy Joe, a short story about the legendary Billy Joe McAllister, who jumped off the Tallahassee Bridge. Shot on location in North Carolina, the film chronicles homosexuality, repression and teenage suicide. Billy Joe met Bobbie Lee Hartley, haunted by a demanding family, often at the Choctaw Ridge, near the bridge.
