In a last-ditch effort to save their marriage, Martin and Kate Badenoch travel to the beautiful uninhabited island of Blackholme in the United Kingdom, a place where they once spent a romantic holiday. One day, a badly wounded soldier washes up on the beach. He brings the news that a catastrophic disaster has occurred and that a deadly virus is headed their way. But who is this soldier? And why is it no longer possible to communicate with the mainland?

I struggled to get 3 stars. Clearly a budget film, although it doesn't seem really cheap anywhere, but we are used to a lot these days. Film should have the story and scare effects. Story is original, if the ending is very easy - and abrupt. Acting is fine.

Wow, this movie was hard to rate.
The film makes no effort to introduce the main characters in the least and lays down a sparse storyline. In addition, the build-up is not very subtle and it could all have been brought much more subcutaneously.
But towards the end it turns out to be a very nice thriller, which makes me look at the credits with a relatively satisfied feeling. Highly recommended to watch once, but not enough. *2.5

10 years after release, the story seems less far-fetched than expected.
I thought it was a good film, which managed to captivate from start to finish, partly due to the short running time. The cast did well and came across as convinced. The ending was also successful.
