The Taqwacores plot

Yusef is a first generation Pakistani studying engineering. He leaves the campus with a group of Muslim punks and together they leave for Buffalo, New York. His new, unorthodox roommates introduce him to 'Taqwacore', a Muslim hardcore punk rock spot. As time goes by, 'Taqwacore' gets more and more influence on the friends and the living room is a mosque for most of the day and at night the punk parties start. Yusef is confronted with his ideas about faith and the problems Muslims experience in today's modern America.
