The Tenth Man plot
France, 1941. During a raid on the streets of Paris, the Nazis arbitrarily arrest thirty men and imprison them. At seven the next morning, three of them will be executed. The prisoners have to decide for themselves who it will be. The cellmates do not want to take this responsibility and let fate decide. One of the death row inmates is the prominent lawyer Jean-Louis Chavel. He does not want to die and wants to bribe another prisoner to be killed by the Nazis in his place.
