"Through her past, a young girl discovers her future"

Lindsey, a teenage girl, drives across the country from Lowell in Massachusetts to visit her Midwestern uncle Jack, a man who has never recovered from a tragedy from his past. There she falls in love with ranch sidekick Logan and is persuaded to participate in a horse race at a local fair owned by wealthy Abigail. Lindsey's problem is that she has no driving experience at all, but she can no longer withdraw and tries to learn as much as possible in a short time to be able to participate. At a horse ranch, she meets a very special horse, Wildfire.
