Quo Vadis? plot
64 AD. Marcus Vinicius returns victorious from the battle with his troops, meets the slave girl Lygia and immediately falls in love with her. However, he does not know that she is a Christian. Emperor Nero gives him a slave as a reward for his success in battle. Shortly after Nero burned Rome down, a revolt against the emperor arises. But he in turn accuses the Christians of the arson. Lygia and Marcus, also converted to Christianity, are captured and sent to prison. They will be staged at the Colosseum, but at the last minute Marcus's troops march into Rome...
