Captivating, harrowing, but at times also hilarious. After only having seen two films by Seidl, I find his signature quite evident. Sharp film that exposes the contrast between two worlds, without happily choosing a side. At times painful and embarrassing (birthday scene), at other times bitingly comical (that final shot too ). Partly thanks to the cinematography that sometimes contributes to the comic character, and which resembles Andersson's films quite a bit.

However, 120 minutes turned out to be a bit on the long side and at certain moments the film is quite repetitive in nature. Could have easily cut out some unnecessary luggage. Furthermore, a strong film, which shows humanity at its most retarded and is somewhere between laughing and crying. Spacious 3.5*.

Seidl apparently has a penchant for describing and recounting the bankruptcy of the capitalist consumer society. He's very strong at it. The film is shocking, does not leave you untouched, holds up a mirror to you and brought a lot to me. Disgust, emotion, a smile, excitement... Pretty good for a movie. Often felt uncomfortable, although that is certainly not negative in this one. Towards the end it lost some power but I still found it an engrossing viewing experience that will stay with me for a long time.

Love is indeed hard to find in this trilogy by Seidl. Honestly going through this movie with some vicarious embarrassment. I have nothing against sex tourism of any gender, but my sympathy for any chubby lady was hard to find. Like giggling bitches, they flirt and try to have their fun. This often came from a superior undertone that had little to do with seducing or conquering the prey. I had an impression of inferiority and racism before, at least with little respect at least.

Vacations like this seem like hell to me too. I assume they are not all sex tourists, but when you have to fight off all those pushy men, you still crave a bit of peace and privacy. It is also interesting to note that Teresa really believes in love at a certain point, even though the underlying undertone is money.

The last conquest was also fascinating, which had quite a bit of trepidation. He was therefore dumped and mistaken as a disposable product. Pouting, she then lays down in her bed, hurt. It is of course also to see who is the prey and who is the hunter. This role play goes both ways and that's what makes this display so intriguing. Excellent film with natural atmosphere and authentic casting! It doesn't always have to be barbies, on the contrary I think even for such films.
