I thought it was a decent Mystery/Thriller movie...

Horror is not my taste, a lot of gory...

Decent acting...

Well-known actor Nick Stahl plays again...

Great story...

Excellent camera work, such as mirror scenes...

Typical DTV sequel. Apart from some few moments, it doesn't come close to Aja's film. Which, incidentally, is not one of his better works. In fact; it's his worst movie. It's a shame that such a film is inevitably directly compared to its predecessor. I too can hardly let go in these kinds of cases. Director Victor Garcia, of whom I have seen four films, also chooses it a bit himself. Sequel to House on Haunted Hill, a Hellraiser film and a sequel to Mirrors. Funnily enough, his worst film ( Arctic Predator (2010) ) is not a sequel to a ''successful'' film (in the case of Mirrors may remove those quotes).

Admittedly: with that knowledge in-house, this is actually not so crazy. Contains a few fine gory moments (that decapitation, although seen more often, is very nice) and the acting is also reasonably good. The plot does take off quite a bit halfway through and the further course will surprise few. In its 'kind' (B-sequels) this is above average across the board.

Just enough. Looked in dark with sound quite loud, which makes it quite exciting.
