Le Quattro Volte plot
"Human. Animal. Vegetable. Mineral."
An old shepherd spends his last days in a quiet medieval town perched high in the hills of Calabria, in the extreme south of Italy. He tends goats under a sky that many have long abandoned. He is ill and believes he will find his salvation in the dust he collects on the church floor, which he drinks in his water every day. A new kid is born. We follow the first steps of the animal, the first games, until it is strong enough to go to the meadows. Nearby, a majestic tree moves to the rhythm of the mountain breeze and it changes slowly through the seasons. Le Quattro Volte is a poetic vision of the progression of the cycles of life and nature and the unbreakable traditions of a timeless place.
