Karthik's life is not really special; his job sucks, he has no friends and Shonali, the love of his life, barely knows about his existence even though they've been working together for four years. Karthik has low self-confidence as he holds himself responsible for the death of his younger brother. But then the bad memories come back and he is fired. Now that he has nothing left to live for, he decides to commit suicide. However, this changes when one early morning at five o'clock suddenly the phone rings.
