"A hit comedy about losing"
Calvin Marshal (Alex Frost), a freshman, dreams of becoming a professional baseball player. He has the will, the perseverance, the ambition and the dedication. There's one problem, though: he doesn't have the athleticism to make it happen. But Calvin is confident he will eventually succeed if he just doesn't give up. His sympathetic baseball coach (Steve Zahn) doesn't want to ban him from the team, even though he knows Calvin will never play a match. Calvin is also encouraged by his romance with Tori Jensen (Michelle Lombardo), a beautiful volleyball player who does have the extraordinary athletic skills that Calvin lacks. After each setback, Calvin returns more determined than ever to make his dreams a reality, but eventually the truth will catch up with him.
