De Zwarte Ruiter plot

In 1952, two gabbers from the resistance come face to face in the border area of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. Fons de Ruiter, alias de Zwarte Ruiter, has earned itself the reputation of the shrewd and boldest butter smuggler in the region. Rinus IJzerman has become customs chief and, to his regret, will be forced to do everything in his power to get rid of his old friend, but he only becomes fanatical when the master smuggler starts an unwanted affair with IJzerman's daughter Liza.
