Prequel to the Norwegian slasher series Fritt Vilt. Fritt Felt III goes all the way back to the beginning of terror in the mountains of Jotunheimen. We see what precedes the snowboarding journey of five friends Jannicke, Morten Tobias, Eirik, Mikael and Ingunn in the Norwegian mountains, where they end up in an abandoned hotel, and where a crazed killer lurks...

Cold Prey 3 is the part of the series that actually takes place before the first part. And so in this film you get a glimpse through which the boy with the port-wine stain grew into the dangerous killer . Partly because of this, the tension is a lot less and fairly predictable. The bloodshed was also a lot less fun, which makes the creation of Fritt Vilt not really enjoyable.

The third and final part in the Cold Prey series. It is rare that a successor, let alone a third repeat exercise, can match the first part. But this Fritt Vilt III goes one better: it simply surpasses it.
Rarely have I seen such an exciting film. Nice intro, how it all started and then straight to the next "unfortunates". This time no longer the winter setting, but a wonderful summer camp atmosphere that brings you back to the basic Friday The 13 th parts. This time the assets of the beautiful Norwegian nature are fully exploited. What exhaustion for these young people, they not only have to fight for their lives, but also run through the forests and even cross dangerous river flows. The pace of this film is incredible and it contains many nail-biting scenes. In the end, the film is also somewhat reminiscent of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre series.
A lot of elements have been borrowed from other genre films, but that shouldn't spoil the fun. In addition to the above points, this part once again contains a very strong leading lady. So it's girl power squared and that's exactly what we like to see, right?

This final part of the Norwegian slasher trilogy about a mysterious killer who targets tourists in the mountains of Jotunheimen is a worthy prequel. With yet another location and a completely new cast, director Mikkel Brænne Sandemose manages to keep things fresh and energetic, although the film is ultimately not inventive and exciting enough to surpass the previous part. But it is certainly a worthy ending to a quite nice trilogy.
