"It Startled Millions! NOW...It Becomes the Great Screen Drama of Our Time!"
American art dealer of German descent Martin Schulz and his Jewish business partner Max Eisenstein sell European art through their art gallery in San Francisco. In the mid 1930s, after Adolf Hitler took power, Martin Schulz goes to Germany with Griselle, the daughter of Max Eisenstein, who is engaged to his son Heinrich. Griselle hopes to find a job as an actress in Berlin. Schulz befriends the wealthy baron and Nazi sympathizer Von Friesche. Von Friesche ignites Schulz with his Nazi sympathies, who eventually even betrays his family to the Nazis. The Jewish Griselle also gets into big trouble because of her future father-in-law.
