Les Filles de Grenoble plot
When a young prostitute is murdered, Judge Le Perrec leads the investigation. The girl is believed to have been killed by her pimp. His quest leads to a network of prostitution. However, to send the various responsibles and other mafiosi to prison, testimonies from the girls are needed. Cora is the first to take the dangerous step and talk, at the risk of being tortured or killed by her pimp.

Pretty nice video. Realistic style but also enough fascinating in the images and storytelling. At a few moments Les filles de Grenoble is quite brutal. It even seemed to me that Lilja-4-ever's famous shot might have been inspired by this. In French, the soft bearers are all righteous, but oh well, that is sometimes refreshing, because so many films already highlight the dark sides.
