On the other side of the seductive and glittering lights of Hollywood lies a decaying civilization where drugs, prostitution and violence are the order of the day. Karen Shore is a police officer with idealistic dreams to make Los Angeles a safe, habitable place. Karen's dreams are instantly shattered by the tragic deaths of Fiona and Angie, two street children she took in. She goes after the responsible drug dealers herself.
