Very nice British party hardy film that is again very slick, hip and colorful shot. This also looks a bit like To the Klote. Anyway, otherwise this is really only about a group of unhinged youngsters from Cardiff who have a boring job and we can now take a look at what they do in a weekend. Where the sequence of sniffing, swallowing, techno music and flat humor plays the leading role. Also nice are especially those fantasy scenes where (I can't remember who) then imagine what it would be like if the tent/place/situation he is in changed into a musical. And yes... there is little story in it, but it doesn't have to be. The humor and the festive atmosphere keep your attention.

Not a bad film at all and certainly not if you smoke a stick with it. The acting is also quite realistic, thanks in part to the fact that this is just a glimpse into life, the typical British humor and awkwardness is sublime and the wide range of techno music (e.g. Orbital, Fat Boy Slim, Underworld, Primal Scream) completes the picture. completely. Nice movie!

3.5*

“The weekend has landed, all that exists now is clubs, drugs, pubs and parties” says Jip in this successful film about a group of friends that we follow during a 48-hour Odyssey through Cardiff.

Film offers an original insight into the club/party scene with the help of some alienating elements, colorful characters and good lyrics and dialogue. Honorable mention for the great soundtrack that makes you long for the (late) 90s.

Nice cameo from an almost unrecognizable Carl Cox, by the way, as club owner of Asylum.

Recommended, 3.5*.

Collection of idiots who outdo each other in flat behavior and are proud of it. Embarrassing to watch.
