"A romantic comedy about the things we do for love."
Marcello, owner of a restaurant in a small Italian village, is determined to fulfill the wish of his ailing wife Roseanna: she wants to be buried next to her daughter in the old, picturesque cemetery. The problem is that there are only three more lots available and it is not possible to reserve. So Marcello has no choice but to keep everyone alive. In the hospital he runs from bed to bed to cheer the sick and on the street he personally directs traffic to prevent accidents. When Roseanna understands why Marcello is hardly ever home, she decides to take matters into her own hands...
