Professor Josef Stock and his wife Mizzi are constantly arguing. The latter is actually in love with Dr. Franz Braun, who is married to her friend Charlotte, on whom Dr. Gustav Mueller, a colleague of Braun, is in love. Due to a misunderstanding, however, she thinks her husband is in love with Miss Hofer, so she asks Mizzi to keep him busy.
