Akasen plot

Izo, suspected of rape, is released from his cell and heads to the "Akasen" redlight district, where strip clubs and brothels are the order of the day. He enjoys his freedom and almost immediately meets the runaway Suika, whom he wants to sell to a brothel. Further on in Akasen we meet the lewd writer Kafu, looking for inspiration. One night he has too much to drink and falls in love with the prostitute Shizumo. Kafu becomes more and more fascinated by the used but strong Shizumo. Anyway, Shizumo can't forget that night she once spent with Izo on an opium den...
