Searchin' for the Heart of the Heartlands plot

A project in which filmmaker Dré Didderiëns follows Eindhoven musicians Ad van Meurs (the Watchman) and Ankie Keultjes during their journey through the Heartland. In this road movie, the viewer/listener is given the opportunity to form a picture of the core (the heart) and soul of the inhabitants of the Heartland. Various people have their say in their own landscape, such as ronommee's from the world of music, producer Cowboy Jack Clement. In addition, people who live in a different way and have a fascinating past, such as the old Osage Indians (Gene Williams), intellectuals (Mike West and Katie Lewis) in Kansas, who have turned away from society, have their children nurture social isolation.
