"Love is a six letter word - "HORROR""
Amy falls in love with the mysterious Dan, a boy who carries a curse with him. His father Bender, also cursed, soon begins to rock Amy's hometown. And so the inhabitants of the town must do everything in their power to stop this dark force.

Finally, on Monday, I'll be watching this Dark Moon Rising as the next step in horror week. It's a completely unknown film, and I only picked it up because I found a Blu-ray release at the thrift store. Although the vote averages weren't very predictive, you still hope to see something that others don't, but within five or ten minutes, it was clear.
Names like Sid Haig and Billy Drago still raise hopes for a cult-like event in this Twilight-esque concept. The female cast isn't bad at all, and Max Ryan is pretty good as the villain, but these are minor pluses in an otherwise sad and meager whole. It's fake, it's bad, most of the actors barely radiate anything, the dialogue is pathetic, it's a dose of tough and tough behavior while, in reality, hardly anything happens. Throughout the film, you're waiting for an explosion or event of blood, gore, werewolf gone wild, or whatever, but nothing happens. They seem incapable of really coming up with anything, or even executing it.
Even for a film that cost only $3 million, it's exceptionally poor—bad, to say the least. This makes Dark Moon Rising one of the worst films of the year.
