Arme Blanken - In het Nieuwe Zuid-Afrika plot

After Apartheid was abolished in South Africa and a new government was formed, much has changed for the better in the country. The black population has been given more rights and more opportunities in a new democratic society. But not everyone has benefited from the new situation. This documentary focuses on a number of white families, who have often lost their jobs and fallen into poverty as a result of the preferential treatment of blacks. They are called the 'poor whites', a group that is barely spoken of but which is growing rapidly in size. Director Saskia Vredeveld goes to Coronation Park, a tent camp just outside Johannesburg, where a large group of mainly white people live in miserable conditions.
