Turksib plot

In Turkestan (roughly present-day Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan) there is just enough water for cotton cultivation, but not for grain. The remote Siberia has enough grain, making a railway connecting these two areas an ideal solution. This documentary shows the development of the construction of the railway between Turkestan and Siberia, from the beginning at the drawing board to the commissioning of the railway itself.
