A Dangerous Man plot
"For Shane Daniels, fighting for freedom is a way of life."
After serving six years in prison for something he didn't do, Shane Daniels (Steven Seagal) is released with nothing but an apology from the state of Arizona. In the first few hours of his freedom, Shane witnesses a spiraling police check that leaves two dead, including a cop. However, the perpetrators left two things behind; a bag filled with money and a woman. Now it's up to Shane to fight his way through the corrupt city and save the woman.

Waxman has played a key role in Steven Seagal's credibility in recent years. After The Keeper (2009), A Dangerous Man was a bull's eye in the same year. Rock hard, no bullshit approach with a super cool Seagal. Can't wait to see Maximum Conviction (2012), he will (I think) continue this fantastic line in his oeuvre. A bit of the old Seagal in a flashy jacket. Fits me well!

The director seems like a nice action director; he even manages to get Seagal moving, albeit with editing gimmicks. The story is nothing at all and Seagal laughs as usual. The somewhat harder action looks fine, but it is still a long sit up to and including the climax.

A decent action movie starring Steven Seagal.
The story is full of smooth fight scenes and shootings. Byron Mann's character is not fully utilized. This had to do with the fact that the actor was not cast until later. The script could have been better. It is made more complicated than necessary.
