The Price of Air plot

In the idyllic dystopia of a suburb of Orange, the kind but inexperienced Paul agrees to become a drug courier for Mr. Ball who delivers a drug rumored to be more addictive than oxygen. Against the advice of his friend D., Paul does it for the quick money. The supplier turns on them and kills D. in the ensuing firefight. Paul runs away with the money and the drugs, but not before promising his dying friend to flush the drugs down the toilet before Mr. Ball takes it to the street. He meets the lonely and beautiful Anne, with whom he starts to delve into the drugs and they discover its remarkable effect.
