EGG. plot
A woman sees the shape of an egg every time she closes her eyes. One day, cracks begin to form in the egg and a strange creature crawls out and attacks her. Desperately keeping her eyes open, she embarks on a quest for the cause of her misery, a quest that takes her back to childhood events.

The concept of this film is beyond belief; even by Japanese standards, the basic premise is downright absurd. Despite that, the execution is, oddly enough, quite predictable, and the film lacks direction that's unique enough to keep up with the fantastic concept. The weak lore also occasionally hinders the enjoyment. But for fans of Japanese weirdness, it's definitely worth it. A small 3*.
