Zero no Shôten plot

Teiko says goodbye to her new husband Kenichi in Tokyo, who has to travel to Kanazawa for work. He promises to be back on December 12, but when that day comes and goes, Teiko hears no sign of Kenichi. Soon Kenichi's employers get in touch, curious at first, but soon concerned. They invite Teiko to search for her husband in Kanazawa, but she soon becomes entangled in a riddle that includes prostitution, suicide and possibly even murder!
