Young Florida stockbroker TT Ralston makes a bet with his colleagues that he will insist on telling the truth for 24 hours straight. His colleagues are doing everything they can to ensure that he will not succeed.

The often filmed basic fact surrounding a bet that forces the main character to tell the truth for 24 hours is a perfect fit for Bob Hope. He has to use all his verbal creativity to limit the damage that can be caused by speaking the truth and that certainly produces some hilarious moments, especially since Hopes didn't put his own money into the bet! The film and the accompanying humor are a bit dated, but Hope receives excellent support from the always charming Paulette Goddard and character actors such as Edward Arnold and Leif Erickson.
