Stig of the Dump plot

Together with his sister Lou, Barney goes to stay with his grandparents during the summer holidays. Barney loves it there and likes to explore the woods near the house. Unfortunately, there are always the Snarget brothers who bully him. So it happens once that Barney falls into a mine shaft where garbage is illegally dumped. There he meets a prehistoric man, according to the internet a Stiganopithecus. Barney calls him Stig and befriends this curious caveman. He doesn't tell anyone, who would believe him anyway?
