I don't think it's that bad actually. Strange things. For example, there is that girl who makes a dizzying fall into a deep well, full of pins of up to a meter in size. Her upper arm is pierced, but it turns out she doesn't suffer from it in the film, let alone that she wouldn't have broken anything after that fall. In the end, the makers suggest that 3,270 people have mysteriously disappeared in the Balkans. So Anton would have killed 3270 people? The killer's body was found, but the actors' bodies were not. Then where are they? Who took them away? After some research it turns out that it was anything but true and the footnote is therefore completely superfluous and useless. The acting is not bad, but of course they are not world actors. Was filmed well with a few exceptions, and the location is beautiful. It is set in the French Alps, but the film leads us to believe it is in Croatia. I give the film a small pass and then I'm actually relatively generous...

Weak bite, nowhere above the average.

But an extremely scanty piece of work from French soil. Every step that is taken is one in familiar territory. An overkill of obvious clichés on your plate, some mediocre slaughter, and an annoying B-cast. Although the heavenly dubs didn't really help with my version either, which is probably not entirely due to the film itself. Especially that snotjong lifted over the horse sounded wonderfully unnatural.

It is therefore not a complete debacle; sporadically the film still shows that it has something to offer. Camera work is generally taken care of, and the soundtrack was not off-putting. But did that really compensate for all the poverty? Nope. 1.5*.

The first 25 minutes are built up nicely, with some nice images. Unfortunately, the film then lapses into extremely boring clichés, and can't add anything more. Gone atmosphere, gone tension. Throw in a lame killer and weak kills and you have a thriller that never exceeds mediocrity.

1,5*
