Tarzan's Magic Fountain plot

"New Daring ! New Dangers !"

In the African jungle, Tarzan rescues pilot Gloria James Jessup, who has long been thought to be dead. Gloria has stayed young because of the magical water from a special fountain. The bandits Trask and Dodd try to take advantage of this magical water for their criminal activities. Both accompany the rapidly aging Gloria on an expedition to the remote valley where the Magic Fountain is. Tarzan learns of Trask and Dodd's evil intentions and springs into action.

Good Tarzan film especially in terms of its running time .
Good thing the movie wasn't too long, otherwise this story wouldn't have survived.
The film should actually have more of the fun scenes. Just like the movies with Weismuller. Lex Barker certainly does a good job as Tarzan. He has to play with the nicest and best Jane of the Janes. But the chemistry between them doesn't really swing..
There are some humorous things in it that are mainly due to the monkeys. But also with one of those guys who wears an eye patch and always pulls out a knife. Where indeed Elmo Lincoln can be seen, the very first Tarzan, and he has become quite fat by the way. The film is very much aimed at a young audience, which is noticeable in everything. The ending is lame but still very funny. Funny that cheetah then turns into a little capuchin monkey. A nice first movie for Barker. 3.5.
