De Ramp plot

In the night of January 31 to February 1, 1953, a fatal combination of a heavy storm and spring tide ended the lives of almost 2000 residents of the islands of South Holland and Zeeland. Thousands of houses collapsed under the pressure of the water and many men, women and children spent hours on the roof of a barn or floating on some wreckage in the icy water. A disaster that left deep wounds for the survivors, which are felt to this day. In the film De Ramp that Koert Davidse made, the survivors are central.
