Normal plot

"A poignant look at how a family may look"

Germany, 1930. The young but ambitious lawyer Justus Wehner gets his first big case; he must defend the brutal serial killer Peter Kurten. Convinced that Kurten suffers from a mental disorder, Wehner decides to get to the bottom of it. But then Kurten's wife, Marie, appears. Together with her husband, she tries to manipulate Wehner into committing one last crime with them. Now Wehner will have to fight not only to win the case, but also to save himself.
