1895 plot
"1895 in Formosa"
The story of the Taiwanese resistance against the Japanese invasion in 1895. After Taiwan was ceded to Japan by China in 1894, the people resisted in order to gain their independence. Three young Taiwanese boys, Tang-hsing We, Hsiang Hsu and Shao-tsu Chiang, organize a guerrilla war against the Japanese.

The first spoken Hakka film ever made. At the 14th Asia Television Awards 2009, the film won an award in the "Best Drama" category.
This historical film is quite entertaining, but personally I would have expected some more action scenes.
