1724 Gi-bang-nan-dong-sa-geon plot

1724, South Korea. In the Joseon dynasty, Chun-doong sees the beautiful woman Seol-ji during a fight in the market. He believes it is love at first sight. Fate favors him and he soon encounters her again. Seol-ji turns out to be a gisaeng (Korean companion) who accidentally ended up in Chun-doong's village because of a name change. After Seol-ji leaves for her new workplace, Chun-doong is still convinced that she is the one for him and wants to visit her. But things turn out differently when Chun-doong accidentally knocks down a gang leader and not much later he himself is seen as the new leader of the gang. As a gang leader, Chun-doong has to attend a meeting of all the gang leaders in the region. Terwijk Chun-doong tries hard to get out of this when he hears that Seol-ji is now working there and decides to claim her for himself. Gang leader Ma-deuk is not charmed by this and after a disturbance during the meeting, plans are made to get rid of Chun-doong…
