Down to Earth plot

Against all custom, a family embarks on a five-year journey in search of a new outlook on life. A couple with three small children leave their European, cosmopolitan life for what it is. Their journey begins in Upper Michigan where they befriend Native Americans. They don't realize yet that this is just the beginning of the journey of their lives.
