Mein Liebster Feind - Klaus Kinski plot

In the 1950s, Werner Herzog shared an apartment with Klaus Kinski, an egomaniacal monster. Kinski destroyed every piece of furniture in sight during an unrelenting fit of rage that lasted for at least 48 hours. Out of this chaos arose a beautiful, but explosive partnership. In 1972 Herzog chose Kinski in 'Aguirre, der Zorn Gottes', four more films would follow. In this personal documentary, Herzog traces the often violent ups and downs in their relationship, visits the Munich apartment where they first met and returns to various locations of their films.
