A distraught Jeffrey "Jeff" Carter visits a renowned lawyer. He has a mysterious bag with him and he wants to make a confession. Jeff was an underpaid chemist who worked for the successful but unscrupulous pharmaceutical businessman Roger Graham. Graham always pocketed profits, as well as credit for Jeff's discoveries. When Graham thought his profits were more important than the safety requirements, Jeff resigned.
