The Good Heart plot
"Everyone needs a refuge from the world."
Lucas is a good boy with a sad spiritual crisis, living as a hobo under the Brooklyn Bridge. Seeing no positive prospects, he tries to commit suicide, but even that fails. He is taken to the hospital to recover from his injuries, and finds himself in a room with the grumpy Jacques. A bar owner who's already had a heart attack or five. Jacques takes Lucas under his wing and tries to teach him some life lessons.
